'Twas XIII: A Night To Remember
'Twas the night before Christmas
and in the East wing,
a long night of patient care
was just beginning.
Tina had arrived about
ten minutes before,
punching in on the time clock
down on the ground floor.
For ten years, she'd been working
as a night shift nurse,
tending to the sick so that
they wouldn't get worse.
This was the first time she'd worked
the Christmas Eve shift.
She didn't mind too much,
but was a little miffed
since she'd had plans to go out
with her friends that night.
But she canceled them without
